Calculate the Screen Distance

Distance to the screen?

How far does the viewing distance from the screen have to be to have an optimal cinema experience?

The distance ...

… to the screen is crucial. A range factor of 0.90 to 1.50 is recommended for 21:9 screens. A smaller value causes a smaller distance. Below 0.9, the image can appear too large and be perceived as uncomfortable. A factor of approx. 1.20 is recommended as optimal. With 16:9 screens, the range factor should be more extensive.
